School Board - Community Budget Meeting
Bring your questions! This is the second and last informational meeting regarding next year's budget. If you can't go and have a question you'd like to ask, feel free to post it, and I'll try my best to ask it at the meeting. Tuesday, April 26th, 7 p.m., West Linn High School Forum.
WLWV School Board Candidates’ Forum
Tuesday, May 3rd, 7 to 9 p.m.
Wilsonville High School Forum, Rm 202
6800 Wilsonville Road
Come and meet your school district's future decision makers. Our 7 candidates to the school board explain their policy positions and the direction they hope to take the WLWV school district. The candidates will give an opening statement and respond to questions.
The open seats and candidates are as follows:
Cheri Zimmerman, Kasey Saito and Patricia Muller are running for position 1. Kristen Keswick and Mary Furrow are running for position 2. Betty Reynolds and Rob Fernandez are running for position 4. Ballots will be mailed on April 29 and must be returned by May 17.
The school board sets goals and establishes policy for the school district. It approves budgets, employment contracts, construction and curriculum. The 2011 WLWV school board will have a tighter budget and will be working with a new superintendent and financial manager.
The WLWV School District is consistently one of the highest ranked in the state. Let’s work together to make it one of the best in the country.
This event is organized by the WLWV Stand for Children and the WLWV Parents' Association.
