Hello Friends! We are back in action after a fabulous summer break. Our first meeting of the 2011-2012 school year will be next Monday, September 12th, 2011. This month’s meeting will be held at the Sunset Fire Hall at 7 p.m. The Sunset Fire Hall is located at 2215 Long St., West Linn.
As you know, our goal is to inform ourselves on how to best advocate for and support our children’s education and, to that end, we are inviting you to bring your ideas for discussion as we determine this year’s monthly meeting topics. We look forward to seeing you all again as we embark on another informative year together!
Our mission is to provide a place for parents to share ideas and goals for our children’s education, learn about and discuss the school system, and together advocate for our children's learning.

WLWV Parents’ Association Sponsors a Talk and Q&A by Oregon Association for the Talented and Gifted
Judy Smith from the Oregon Association for the Talented and Gifted will present information and answer questions at the Wilsonville Public Library, Rose Room, June 13, 2011, 7-8:30 p.m. Parents can find out how this program works in our district and learn why it is important to advocate for an excellent and engaging education for your child, both in and outside of the classroom. Learn about best practices in and little known avenues for broadening your child’s opportunities for an engaging, challenging supplemental curriculum. Bring your questions! Pick up information on starting an academic team: Lego Robotics, Odyssey of the Mind, and Destination Imagination. Open to all West Linn/Wilsonville parents. Parents of children in the TAG program are especially encouraged to attend: 14% of WLWV District students are in the Talented and Gifted program.
